We Didn't Ask for This

The thing is, we didn’t ask for this. Of the endless ways in which a human life/civilization could be expressed here on Earth, colonization is the hand we’ve been dealt. While some type of agreed upon order is healthy in community, the level at which we have been controlled by a dominant patriarchy has stifled our spirits. Our men are plagued with stress as they trade their warrior spirits for monotonous ways to earn money. Our women are becoming hard because the patriarchy does not support the soft goddess energy. We have to join our men in the battle to keep up with the demands of the system.
I’m pointing this out because it’s okay to feel despair and frustration. It’s okay to feel totally lost and disconnected from your wild spirit.
Have you noticed that your soul wants to rebel? This too is okay. Your soul is so resilient. It will seek ways to express its wild nature. The important thing is that you are willing to support its expression in healthy ways. When you feel it’s restlessness, be courageous enough to let it out to play. The more you exercise your wild, the more powerful you will become. And one day you will notice you are slowly carving your own path. The revolution is spiritual. Set your spirit free. Let it dance, breath, express itself.
We’ve been colonized but we also have free will. Free will = Spiritual Freedom!
