What Makes Cacao Ceremonial?

The lineage…

Ceremonial Cacao comes from a lineage wherein the seeds, the stories and recipes are handed down from generation to generation. All of the energy that goes into the planting, the tending and the harvesting, right down to the packaging is all held with ceremonial intention. So the vibration of this elixir is very high.

Sarah Schaefgen, co-founder of Sacred Ally studied and apprenticed with the Andean Cacao Lineage of the 7 Rays. Blessed by Cacao Shaman, Maestro Puma, Sacred Ally is honored to carry and serve this gentle heart ally.

We truly believe that Cacao is the Medicine of our time. It is through the gateway of our heart that we will find our way.

Origins & Benefits

Revered as “Food of the Gods”, cacao is one of the most gentle yet powerful plant medicines on the planet. Ancient Mayans and Aztecs used cacao for spiritual and ceremonial purposes as a powerful assistant for ‘inner work’, creative guidance and so much more. The spirit of cacao was one of the most revered of the ancient Mayan deities. They called cacao ‘The water that runs through the heart’.

Cacao is a heart ally. It is a vasodilator, which means it opens up your circulatory system promoting blood flow and oxygenation to the brain. This is how cacao stimulates the senses and gives a gentle sense of alertness and euphoria.

Benefits of Cacao Include:

  • Cacao opens the heart and allows for a deeper, authentic love based connection with yourself, others, the world and all of life. It aids in the recognition, and release of repetitive patterns as you will become aware of any beliefs and blocks which could prevent you from creating the life you love.

  • This beautiful sacrament creates stronger connection with the higher self (intuition, soul, God, Goddess etc.). This leads to an enhanced connection with your own power and truth; your divinity.

While Cacao is considered an antioxidant rich superfood, it also:

  • Acts as an aphrodisiac.

  • Increases Meditation potentialPowerful, otherworldly, and deep meditation, enabling you to connect with your spiritual nature, accessing the wisdom within.

  • Feelings of oneness, enlightenment, and ecstasy.

  • Balances Feminine & Masculine energies through balancing left and right brain.

  • Connects us to higher dimensions.  Elevates our frequency and consciousness to a level of awareness that we are one of many simultaneous dimensions occurring at this moment.

Cacao is a beautiful sacrament to share in community so that we connect with one another through the gateway of our hearts.
