Spring Herbal Oiling
Workshop
Deep nourishment for your body and soul
Imagine taking time for yourself, where you slowly, luxuriously massage infused herbal oil over your body. With the light pressure on your skin, the calming aroma of the herbs, your breath deepens, and waves of deep relaxation sweep over your body.
In this seasonally inspired workshop, we’ll be using herbal oils infused with the bounty and freshness of spring. There will be two oil options--one that is rich in vitamins and a second that supports sore muscles and blood flow. You’ll receive a 2oz glass bottle of herbal oil to use in class and can keep the remainder for your home practice.
Oiling is an act of deep cellular nourishment and palatable self-love.
Herbal oiling has been practiced for self-care and healing over centuries and across cultures. During this workshop you’ll experience this simple, yet powerful tradition, and leave with the knowledge to practice it on your own.
This experience will include:
Brief overview of how-to and benefits of herbal oiling
A gentle yoga practice to warm the body and prepare for oiling
A guided self-oiling experience using organic, seasonal, handmade herbal oils
Opportunity to drop deeply into self, reflect, let-go, journal, or meditate as you feel called
A safe container in a sacred space, supported by caring teachers and community

How to dress:
Oil is oily! Please wear clothing that you are OK exposing to oil
Allow loose fitting and/or skimpy clothing that will allow you to access as much of your body as possible for oil application
You’ll also want to consider comfort for a gentle yoga practice
SOCKS that you are OK getting oily, if you wish to oil your feet
What to bring:
Yoga mat
Towel to sit on while oiling if you prefer that to your mat
Journal and pen
Water or other hydrating beverage
Note: All are welcome at this workshop regardless of gender, sex, or other identities. No prior experience with yoga or herbs is necessary.
FAQ:
Q: My skin is oily, is this a good idea for me?
A: There are different types of oils, which can best support varying skin types. If you’re worried about your face, I’d recommend choosing to apply oil to less sensitive parts of your body for this workshop--you will still reap massive benefits--after all, the skin is our largest organ and there are plenty of less sensitive areas to play with during this practice!
