May First Friday

We are thrilled to partner with several local artists who utilize natural materials in their creations:

May’s artists will include:

🎨 Adrienne Dussault - Birch Bark Vases
🎨 Rick Williams - Montana Stone Candles & Vases

Join us on May 2nd for First Friday at Sacred Ally, a healing and empowering arts center dedicated to collaborating with our community and local artisans.

This will be a wonderful chance to connect with local artists who utilize natural resources to create stunning creations, both big and small.

Meet The Artists:

Adrienne Dussault

Born and raised in Missoula, Adrienne’s family was one of the original settlers in the Frenchtown Valley where Council Groves State Park is located. They have a long history of community involvement and service.

After living away from Montana for a time Adrienne returned in 2000, and a walk in the Bitterroots led her to find a piece of birch bark that was "hallowed" with age. Inspiration struck and she’s been creating one-of-a-kind Birch Bark vases ever since.

Adrienne’s vases have found their way to 49 States and 10 Countries and are a stunning accent to any room or space needing a little extra light or natural beauty.

"Montana Bark Vases" are recycled birch bark branches that have fallen in the forests of Western MT. These are "tubes" with no seams (as the inner contents of the bark softens over the years and can be removed). Glass vases are glued inside. They come in all sizes, are durable - and very unique! Custom orders available. Made in Montana by a gal who was also made in Montana!

Rick Williams

Montana Stone Candles & Vases

Rick uses locally sourced stones from all over Montana to create incredible, one-of-a-kind oil candles and vases of all shapes and sizes. His oil candles have a wick that lasts forever, (it’s like magic!).

Rick Williams makes a variety of beautiful Stone candles, lamps, vases, and stone sculptures. His candles come with a non-flammable wick that you do not have to replace, funnel for refilling, as well as liquid to light the candle.

Rick has been a member at The Artists’ Shop for over two decades. You can learn more about Rick by visiting:
